The X-Former takes inspiration from Pilates reformer principles, but the workout itself is rooted in Slow Resistance Training (SRT). You’ll still get the alignment, control, and core engagement Pilates is known for, but with added intensity, deeper muscle activation, and a more strength-focused approach.

It’s in the same family, but not identical.
The X-Former uses similar slow-tempo, spring-based resistance, but we follow The Practice’s own SRT methodology. Expect a more intentional pace, a welcoming environment for beginners, and programming that emphasizes form, stability, and sustainable strength. -

Our classes are designed for all experience levels, and most of our first-timers have never touched a reformer before. Your instructor will walk you through the machine, offer modifications, and help you feel confident from the moment class starts. -

You control your springs, your tempo, and your range of motion. It’s normal to feel your muscles shake, that’s a sign you’re training them safely and effectively. -

Grip socks keep you stable and safe on the machine. We have them for sale in-studio if you need a pair. -
